The room rate is $164.00 per night plus tax (approximately 16%). You must register with the LPA conference prior to making hotel reservations. After completing your LPA registration online, the system will link you directly to the hotel reservation site. If you register online, or by mail, then you will be sent an email confirmation receipt with an access code to make your hotel reservation. Please note: after making your reservation, the New Orleans Marriott will charge your credit card or bank card with the first night’s deposit to guarantee your reservation. You will only be permitted to make one room reservation per family registration, due to room block restrictions. AIRPORT & SHUTTLE INFORMATION:

NEW ORLEANS AIRPORT INFORMATION

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is the closest airport to the conference hotel, located approximately 14 miles from the New Orleans Marriott. The hotel does not provide shuttle service; however, multiple convenient transportation options are available.

Taxis: Estimated fares range between $36–$45 for a one-way trip to the Marriott from the airport for up to two passengers. Taxi service is readily available outside the Baggage Claim Level. Follow the signs to the Ground Transportation Center, where taxi starters will assist you with the first available cab or connect you to a preferred taxi company.

Uber, Lyft, and Other Rideshare Options: Several companies offer rideshare services at MSY airport. The following companies are currently permitted to operate at the airport: Lyft, Uber, and KreweCar. Ride app services pick up passengers outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim on the middle curb.

AIRPORT ASSISTANCE

TSA Cares provides information on security procedures aimed to help passengers with disabilities, medical conditions and individuals needing additional assistance to better prepare for the security screening process.

TSA Pre-Check can make the airport security screening process smoother and faster. That’s mainly because members can access lines that tend to be shorter and do not have to remove shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, or light jackets.

ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION:

While some Uber services are accessible, some attendees may prefer to reserve an accessible van ahead. These private services all require advance reservations.

DRIVING & PARKING INFORMATION:

The New Orleans Marriott is conveniently located on Canal Street and offers valet parking only for hotel guests and conference attendees. The hotel does not provide on‑site self‑parking, but several public garages are available within a short walking distance for those who prefer to self‑park. Valet parking is typically around $55 per night, or oversized vehicle at $62 per night (subject to change) and has a maximum vehicle height of 5 feet nine inches, so oversized vehicles may need to use an off‑site garage. LPA conference attendees will receive a 20% reduction on their valet parking at the hotel. There is a self parking garage at Canal Place (333 Canal Street) for $38 per day (subject to change).
